"I would say overall that the property is okay or average. For two adults, both of whom are between six feet tall and over, it felt a little cramped. The cleanliness is average due to the fact that some of dressers and tables were a little rickety or had stains on them when we came in. No bugs of any kind, however, which was great. There are plenty of pots and pans, kitchen utensils for cooking, however there was no cookie or baking sheet so you'd have to use tin foil or buy a cooking pan. There also was no dish strainer so we went out and bought one of those as well so we could adequately do our own cooking. It has nothing to do with the property per se, but it was interesting that if you stay there and order out, or call cabs, for some reason most delivery drivers and cab drivers had huge issues finding the property. No matter who we called over several weeks staying there, the taxi drivers and delivery drivers would wait on the main street or drop us off somewhere on the same block but never at the exact address. So not sure if the address is somehow blocked or why it's confusing to them. Overall, I would say it was average or okay. The area seems safe and fine. Plenty of business people walking home from work or taking the bus. There's an Aldi supermarket about a fifteen minute walk if you know what direction to go in and lots of smaller shops. Oxford is about a fifteen minute taxi drive as well. "

"Convenient for our purposes. Room No:-5 - very spacious and clean. Bed matress nice and firm, we slept well. Shower water pressure disappointing. The room and hotel overall is rather dated and tired though still good enough for a night or two. The Bar/Pub very welcoming. Friendly staff and clientel. We all enjoyed our meal at the Indian resturant, recommended. Full English breakfast is a No No. tasteless chicken sausages, unidentified slice of something pretending to be bacon.. Go for Poached eggs on toast.. All in All a very nice stay and we would return, and have poached eggs on toast for breakfast."

"We spent a good portion of our 6-night stay trying to communicate with the property manager and trying to get things fixed. Kitchen is not well-stocked: one wine glass, one drinking glass, one small plate, no corkscrew, one pound of salt, no pepper. No coffee maker, broken tea kettle in need of serious descaling. Dishes were wet in the cupboard; one bowl covered with dried food. Stains on the pillowcase. Broken shower that only put out scalding hot water; took hours to get someone to come by and "fix" it so that we could have luke-warm showers the rest of our stay. Coffee table wobbled and ended up collapsing during our stay. Host never got back to us and other than fixing the shower (after I threatened to leave), the property manager only sent messages that they were alerting the host about the situation. Going to dispute the charge with my credit card company since I never heard from the host."
