I had my doubts coming to Michigan and the Detroit area, but Troy, Sterling Heights, Oakland and Bloomfield were a pleasant surprise. Knowing that these areas a safer and more high end, I might have to come back again in the near future.

I'm a native Detroiter who lives in Georgia. Troy is a better option for good hotels at reasonable prices than the city or other surrounding suburbs.

"Terrific location. Right next to the Rosa Parks Transportation hub. Take the Detroit People Mover just to get a feel for the downtown area. Then take the Q line to go see things. We walked down the street just to watch little league baseball and grab a beer. "
"Great breakfast. Newer room updates. Kids loved the room layout. Pool was perfect depth for 6 and 9 year old. They could touch bottom throughout the entire pool."
