"I used to stay at the Hotel Carlton when it was a Joie de Vivre Hotel and always loved the atmosphere, the spacious layout, the convenient parking across the street, and the wonderful breakfasts at Crostini and Java a block away, (There's also a delightful queer-owned Russian restaurant next door.) "I think it is ridiculous to charge $10 for parking! I did not have this charge 2 weeks ago when I stayed there, and in fact, have never paid for parking at a hotel!"

Downside is I had no refrigerator or microwave, and no ice machine available, also no room service, which was very much needed for my 3 day stay. Overall I give it a 9 out of 10 "
