After traveling a long way I was greeted at the desk by a wonderful female staff. She provided me dinner recommendations and reminded me of the complementary beverages in the lobby. For a basic motel, this was as good as you can get.

Our family stayed in multiple rooms for 2 nights in April during spring break so we could visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The hotel was one week new and in a great location. The staff was friendly, helpful and on point. They really did a great job with the guests. The pool is an average size, nice, heated, and there is an outdoor space as well. It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. Our stay was good. Hotel was clean and comfy, good value for the money. Only wish the breakfast was more than bagels.

It wasn't fancy but it was clean, comfortable, safe, and afordable and I would definately stay there again.Tbe view was beautiful.

Note: We stayed during Cooperstown's off, off season. Review: We were there for a conference at The Otsaga Hotel. We wanted something a little more cost effective. This lovely little hotel is rustic, but clean. We had hot water, heat, and THE ENTIRE PLACE to ourselves. Talk about peaceful! The proprietor was helpful, answered her phone, and this place is only a 14 minute drive to Cooperstown.

Very convenient to Glimmerglass and Cooperstown. Very clean and well-kept. On the Main Street, but quiet. A little more expensive than I would have liked, but it is the peak season (July). We would definitely stay here again.
