"While conveniently located, the hotel is a bit old. Also toilets are not senior citizen friendly and dangerous for old folks (need to step up/down when getting in/out). Mattresses are hard and not comfortable. "

The only issue is that they only clean the rooms once in 3 days and we need to inform the reception desk 1 day before the cleaning. if we are out the whole day, by the time i got back into the hotel, the reception desk is closed so i have no way to inform them when to clean the good. i will prefer daily cleaning. but overall nice hotel, nice rooms and it's clean when we check in. "

Also the hotel and the rooms have been equiped with newer equipment. Now the cons: rooms are actualy glorified capsule hotel rooms, very cramped spaces, but what annoyed us the most was the hard bed accesible through a 8 foot ladder, not exactly an incentive for tired travelers, also ceiling is very close to the bed so be aware when moving around up there. "My family and I had a great stay at the Rakuten STAY Naha Tomari Port. The facilities were all very clean as well as the room. My family and I stayed in the six-person room with two double beds and two single bunks on top. The monitor was great for watching shows together before bed after a long day of exploring. I do wish there was a kitchen or a small area with a microwave to heat up food. Overall, this was a great, affordable stay."
