"Pleasantly surprised staff were friendly and helpful the restaurant was good with bar games to entertain the kids we stayed for one night whilst visiting family the rooms were clean and comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep thank you"

"Lovely staff, great food and very convenient for the coast 2 coast cycle route. It is on a busy road and the building and decor is old fashioned but perfect for an overnight stop."

"The Kings Arms is a lovely old pub with wonky beams and floor, but that just adds to the character of the place. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was absolutely scrumptious! The only downside is that it's next to the main street running throught the village, but this was remedied by using a good set of ear plugs at bedtime!"

"We loved our stay at the shepherds hut. It was cute and cosy and led to a very relaxing few days. The bed was comfortable, we had everything we could possibly need and I am still dreaming about the shower! Our dog enjoyed the enclosed field and being able to explore and listening to the owls and donkeys while chilling out in the hot tub is an experience we won’t forget. Would also recommend picking up a pizza from ganache in Holsworthy if you’re planning to stay here!"

"The stay was lovely. Staff welcoming and friendly. Room comfortable and location ideal ..near buses and shopping. "

"Lovely place in Appledore, really well furnished and friendly and helpful staff. Great spot to stay."

"Good"

"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"Amazing quiet and beautiful"

"Had a lovely stay, room was lovely and in great position for what we wanted. "

"Love couple who manage the property. Complete privacy in a luxury property "

"A really lovely stay. The cottage was very pretty and the area was amazing. Really nice break from the stresses of home. Great for coastal walks. "

"Great property and great location. Ideal for 3-4 people. The kitchen/diner/lounge is nicely done but tricky with 2 cooking and impossible to sit more than 4 comfortably. We experience one technical issue that was resolved within 24 hours."

"Accomodation was super clean and well presented. The private courtyard was very sheltered and sitting in the hottub in the evening was very peaceful. Great communication as well from the host. Recommended!"

"Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost. The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! We will be returning again in the future."
