"Loved position overlooking the seaside and free parking. Hotel is being upgraded and I was in an older single room overlooking the rear garden. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable, with everything you needed (except shampoo). Complimentary at the bar and lovely breakfast. Excellent value and I would return. 5 star if the room had been a modernised one."

"We arrived at the hotel early afternoon. The hotel had no sign on it so we were unsure which building it was. Eventually on entering the building it appeared very dated and not welcoming. The bar area did not look inviting. We waited for the client infront of us to finish checking in. We noticed, in the meantime, a notice on the desk saying there was no hot water until further notice. The receptionist said to us that an engineer was on his way and it would be repaired soon. How she came to this...

"Great pub. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic, friendly staff. The food was amazing and some unusual things on the menu. Great breakfast too. Our room was really lovely too. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back! "

"We had a 2 night stay. Craig was chatty, but failed to point out a few things at breakfast on the first morning which proved a little irritating. The pool is only available for guests on certain hours, for example 6-10pm only. Also, rooms are not serviced unless you actually ask for them to be. This information was on the noticeboard but this was not pointed out, so we didn't see it. Otherwise, a nice stay, a good breakfast. Oh, and very light coloured curtains so expect to be woken early."
