"I was worried to share this gem but they deserve the credit, this was the best hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica, had the villa without a pool, private, secluded, and clean. The breakfast was in a room near a balcony overlooking the mountains and valley. Somewhat like a dream! It's so close to the waterfall which makes visiting it so easy and it's a short drive to town for great dining."

"I have stayed here multiple times. Its always quiet and peaceful and the pool area is never crowded. I really want to give it a 5 star review but the breakfast food is horrible. The only plus side is my stay is very reasonably priced so next time i will just go out to eat. Besides that the place was perfect. "

Water heat/pressure was sometimes hit or miss (not a real issue, but just to level set expectations) and there was no A/C (as expedia said there would be)--but it's way up in the mountains and open windows cooled things fine! We loved the staff, the tasty breakfast, the beautiful bottles embedded in the walls spreading color everywhere, and the amazing patio! PLENTY nearby in terms of food, including a Soda...

The decor of the hotel has been tastefully created everywhere - in the lobby, in the rooms… Each room is a separate cottage - with direct view of the Arenal volcano. Really enjoyed our stay. "

"I loved the views this property gave! The room was basic but clean. But the VIEWS were everything! I loved the fact that they had a hiking trail on property, it was a good distance trail that gave a decent workout. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the drinks were good. The pool is well kept but there wasn't a pool bar like it advertised. Definitely would need a car to get anywhere since it's located about 30 minutes from most activities. I would stay again just for the views and peaceful...

"We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic hotel right in the heart of Monteverde. Our room was modern and comfortable with amazing rainforest views. The on-site amenities are top-notch - beer garden (with great food and homemade beer), jacuzzi, yoga classes, juice bar - and everything at the hotel is done sustainably. "Being in our room here almost felt like being in an upscale cabin or treehouse! It was very quiet and peaceful. There were thunderstorms at night and I loved listening to them while lying in bed. The bathroom was extremely nice with good soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. There is a lovely trail at the back of the property. "
