"It is a charming old hotel with lots of character. Unfortunately, the maintenance staff must not be able to look up as paint is peeling off ceiling and bathroom light fixtures are missing cover. People complain of the creaking floors, but that is part of an old building. Had a beautiful view out front. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. If you expect 5 star accommodations, you should expect to pay WAY more. As long as you take that into consideration, excellent value. Would recommend and...

"What an amazing location to stay in the Speyside area and in Dufftown. My expectations were well exceeded by the fit out and finish of the property, the size and space and practical appointments for this accommodation. A modern bathroom complimented the more traditional cottage feel and there was also a washing machine that was very timely at this stage of my holiday. "I stayed here for a 2 day conference in Boat of Garten and was within a 5 minute walk of the venue. Great comms from the hosts and place was perfectly presented and very comfortable; you might want to place another comment book in there as the existing one is full although it was fun reading through people's thoughts and and suggestions and you have clearly followed up on these.
