"Basic guest house within walking distance of mainline railway and city centre attractions. Great value for money. Brilliant staff, welcoming, very kind and helpful, Only downsides- traffic noise (secondary glazing helped) and lots of stairs. There were downstairs rooms but the dining room is upstairs which would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues."

"I was very happy with the hotel and staff. room was perfectly adequate with plenty of tea and milk, something lacking in other places iv stayed, very clean all around the hotel, always greeted by any member of staff with a hello at any time of passing. The biggest plus was the price, £40 or £50 cheaper than any similar standard place within a long distance. Excellent effort and nice to have stayed there. "

"enjoyed our stay, we were in the loft room, ok but steep stairs at top floor. the room had all you needed for a self catering stay if you wanted. we opted for breakfast. Breakfast was perfect, one of the nicest cooked breakfasts i have had in a long while. the service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. good location, i would stay here again no problem. only small thing was there was no hook on back of bathroom door for clothes, this is always guest houses forget, just a little thing but...
