"Impressive building, super receptionist, who was extremely helpful. Had a super, very clean room overlooking the river and was a glorious Easter weekend. The room was large with a lovely big firm bed and nice pillows. TV, kettle, extra heaters and fan(if you needed them). Double glazed windows and super shower with plenty of lovely hot water. Nice to sit looking at the river in the late afternoon too. On the outskirt of the town so reasonably quiet but easily within walking distance of the town....

"Very good staff, excellent safe parking for my motorbike. Food excellent and decent price, I don’t usually go for set meals but it worked for me. Beer is spot on ales. Butty Bach is served well. My ONLY gripe was that the room was 36deg because no one had bothered to open windows and ventilate it. The whole night it only dropped to 27deg with all windows open. Otherwise I would have given it more stars. Also the ‘continental’ breakfast is basically toast and cereals, no fresh coffee. "

"This hotel is a historic property. We really enjoyed the breakfast which includes a cold buffet and hot items cooked to order. We also ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant several times and the food is amazing with great service. Parking is convenient and free. We took advantage of the incredible hiking options nearby. "
