"Having not been to The Lake District for many years and now a homeowner, i am cost conscious, but wanting a great experience. Welcomed by a very friendly member of hotel staff. Shown to room which was "small but perfectly formed!" Bed was very comfortable but curtains need to be fixed properly to the eyes. They didnt close properly either. "Lovely stay. Staff all very welcoming. Food lovely with extensive buffet breakfast and dinner was also very nice. Rooms spacious but could have maybe done with some updating. Nice balcony which we couldnt use unfortunately due to the weather.Lovely views of lake windemere from the grounds. We enjoyed the pool and were lucky enough to have it to ourselves every day. Location good but did mean we had to drive. Didnt struggle to get parked at the hotel."
