"The hotel is in a fantastic location in the centre of Carlisle. A one minute walk from the station or if coming by car there is a free parking, even if the car park is tough to find at first. The rooms were spacious and the shower was powerful. The hotel is a little worn out but for our one night stay it wasn’t an issue. I would stay here again if in Carlisle."

"This hotel is a fantastic dog friendly hotel. The staff gave us and our dog such a warm welcome and were so helpful, friendly and hard working. It was wonderful that we could take our dog into the restaurant and had waitress service in the bar area for breakfast with our dog. The hotel is so conveniently close to the motorway but so quiet, really good for breaking the journey to or from the Scottish Highlands, we highly recommend especially to dog owners."

There was no welcome gift as promised by Hotels.com and there was a bit of a mix up in that although I had already paid the hotel insisted I pay again, the £300 was refunded during my stay as it was the hotels mistake."

"This property was a find! I was concerned driving there as it was located in the middle of nowhere and thank God for Google maps else I don't know how I would find it. But what a delight! The room was comfy. The food was great. The service was exceptional. The bar was just a lot of fun. It was very convenient to Hadrian's wall"
