"Like many properties in Florence, the rooms seem a little worn and do with a re-do. However the staff was great, and helpful, and the location very good. Overall we were happy with the choice. Polish up the rooms an bet and upgrade the pillows and linens and this would be 5 star. "

"Stayed here for 2 nights in April with wife and 12 year old son. Great location with friendly staff, good breakfast. Good size room with high ceilings .Great bed. Mattress was firm and comfortable, with quality bed sheets. Great working air conditioner! There is few flights of stairs up to get to the place, but there is a small elevator. We liked everything here. Would stay again if ever in Florence !"

"We LOVED our stay in the Alba Hotel. It's only 5 mins from the railway station and 10 mins from all the attractions etc. There is a square real close with loads of bars and restaurants in but the hotel is quiet. Also a supermarket. The room was nice, the bathroom small but more that adequate for a 4 night city break. "

"This was a wonderful hotel for a two night stay in Florence. It was convenient for the Train and tourist attractions in there area. It felt safe and was quiet. The staff when above and beyond to make our stay special including bringing flowers on my birthday. Highly recommend. "

"The location of the hotel is very good for us , but the door key didn’t work , we needed to go down to reception every day to get it re activated , which was annoying because we had already gone upstairs. The internet was not working until we got a code from reception although we registered our name and room number several times and that only worked for one day . Otherwise everything else was fine . The room was clean , the breakfast was nice ."

"This place doesn’t look much from the front but we had a fantastic room. Fairly new with a good size shower. The male at reception when we checked in was excellent. So helpful with great local tips. The only downside was the walls are fairly thin so if you’re a light sleeper, you may hear the snorer next door otherwise everything was great."

"I stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Panama. It’s just out of the busy centre of Florence but far enough to be away from the noise and hustle and bustle of Florence. It’s a good 15-20min walk from the main train station. There are good bus links nearby but I walked everywhere so that I could see more of Florence.
