"The property had a beautiful rooftop area with breathtaking views of the Duomo. The restauarant also has beautiful views of the light duomo at night. Hotel is located near everything. "

"This was an exceptional place to stay while in Florence. The city was very crowded with tourists and general city density and the Grand Hotel Minerva felt like an oasis of space. We had a beautiful view overlooking a spacious piazza and the facade of the Basilica di Santa Maria Novella. The pool was lovely and offered an epic view of the duomo. Every staff person we encountered provided exceptional service and friendliness. Plus the building is architecturally significant (designed by Carlo Scarpa) which my husband enjoyed. Breakfast was a generous buffet with plenty of options for everyone. We would absolutely stay here again. "

"The staff were nice and some were just doing their job. Shout out to Camila at reception and David the doorman who were very helpful and pleasant all throughout our stay. The room is decent but for the price we paid, I had expected more. The breakfast is decent but lacking as well. I think they are short handed for the amount of guest they have. Every time we go there for breakfast, they alway run out of some food and don’t refill them right away. Again, for the price we paid, we expected more. The location is very central and so close to th train station once you figure out the direction to the square. It is literally so close to the duomo, academia, etc. So close to everything and have a lot of restaurants nearby but I would avoid il Santa Maria ristorante which is across the hotel, so overpriced and didn’t meet expectation. In short, we would go back now that we know what to expect especially because of its location."
