"A lovely venue, albeit somewhat isolated - you have to have a car. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We had the pool to oursleves, as well as the waitress!"

"We were met with a smile and easily made it to our room. The location was outstanding with easy availability parking. The hotel bar was outstanding and had quality drinks. The dinner at the restaurant was one of if not the best we had in Italy. The room and bathroom were very clean. And tea and coffee were available in the room. Breakfast was also provided and was delicious. When we left, we were even given a nice parting gift. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. "

"The nearest parking was a garage over half a mile away. From there, you have to lug your suitcases up and down a lot of steps to get to your room. I got lost several times trying to leave the property. The room was gorgeous, with a hot tub and sauna. But the smell of mildew was overwhelming. "Nun ja. Als wir vor etwa 12 Jahren schon im Albergo Italia genächtigt haben waren wir begeistert. Die riesige Terrasse der King Suite (Zi 115) mit Blick über die Sassi hat uns begeistert. Man hat sich damals gut vorstellen können, dass Mel Gibson während der Dreharbeiten zur „Passion Christi“ hier gewohnt hat. Aber Matera hat sich verändert. Unzählige Privatzimmer und B&B‘s sind entstanden und man kann sich bei dieser Auswahl heute kaum noch vorstellen, dass sich jemand mehr als nur eine Nacht...
