love the grounds and the quietness. Very peaceful place and staff is wounderful . Price is great. Be back again in a split second . Beatiful place .

This is a brand new property, recently built. This hotel has a great location, steps from the Costa Rica Convention Center, there are shopping malls, clinics, restaurants, at walkable distance. There is shuttle service to the SJO airport, Breakfast was great too including costarican typical food. Hope to be staying here again soon!

Nice hotel with all the amenities and close to the airport. Has a variety of restaurants nearby that are walkable. Will stay there again.

Close to the airport, friendly staff, and clean comfortable rooms.

The hotel was right next to the airport which was great for our late arrival and early departure from Costa Rica. We arrived at 9:30pm and were able to check in and get a good night rest after our flight. We enjoyed the great breakfast in the morning before heading out. After exploring the country we came back for our second night here. We were able to walk to a restaurant nearby for our last dinner. Our flight was early in morning and we check out at 4:30am. They had a shuttle ready and took...

We loved the view of the pool from our room. The service was great and the property was clean. The pool was spectacular. Breakfast was fantastic!

Best hotel yet among Holiday Inn including USA Their breakfast (all local food) was amazing!!

Beautiful hotel, clean, very friendly staff. Nice gym and gorgeous rooftop pool and bar. Breakfast was delicious. Shuttle to airport was seamless. We would stay here again!

The staff at the Bougainvillea welcome and get to know each and every one of their guests. You feel like you are a guest in their own home. The rooms are clean and spacious with great views of the mountain or the garden - I had a tree top view of a flowering Margarita tree - sensational! The dining is good and the prices comparable to most restaurants. Don't expect a bargain as there are none in Costa Rica. However, the breakfast is free, substantial and you can have as much as you want of...

Had a hard time finding this place because the online directions were wrong. However, the difficulty finding it was more than outweighed by our experience with the hotel itself. Definitely not your average American sterile, all-look-the-same hotel: the hotel was full of paintings purchased by the owner along with other art work. Polished wood, tile floors, multiple seating areas, extremely helpful staff, beautiful room with seating area, clean, comfortable. Everything was perfect. An...

We loved everything about this hotel and we are so happy we chose to stay here. The hotel was very clean; we would come in and our room would smell and look amazing. The food options at the restaurant were excellent (we tried all the local dishes and local juices/milkshakes). We felt that the location was perfect- we liked the fact that the airport shuttle was easily accessible; we felt safe walking around the area; and the best part was having a Walmart so close (walking distance) for snacks...

The hotel is in one of the best location in San Jose if not the best. The staff and facilities are excellent. Outstanding breakfast which is already included on the rate.

It is a good, clean hotel. There is a shopping center nearby with a food court and good restaurant. Shuttle service was good.

Hotel staff was very friendly and professional as was the in-house restaurant. All were more then helpful with local info and obtaining needed transport. Very safe and friendly stay.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations. You can even request a bag breakfast to go when leaving the hotel before 6am.

This is a hotel of apartments. Tremendous value for the price. Buffet breakfast poolside and a shuttle to the airport are icing on the cake.

Love it! Been completely remodeled, it's perfect!

We have always enjoyed staying at this property because it is clean, quiet and has the best breakfast in town. We fly in from Oklahoma and often arrive in San Jose late enough we need to spend the night before going to our home on the South Pacific coast. This is a place you can count on being a good quality hotel.

Great customer service, even booked a shuttle for the next day (same price as if I did it myself). Airport pickup, reception, check-in, breakfast, local directions, and the room were all excellent. They even drove us to a nearby restaurant. The only drawback was that Room #1 was in the hallway, so be aware that noises in the hallway and bedroom transmit easily.
