"Unexpectedly good. Beautiful Georgian Square close to the harbour. Good facilities in the pub, excellent food and great service. In the room the bed was big and comfortable the room was clean and storage adequate. The bathroom was mostly clean though could do with updating. The extractor fan was terrible and needs to be replaced (it made us laugh it was so loud) the shower within the bath was okay but the lighting could be brighter for shaving and make up. "Very nice stay thank you, after I attended a local friend's wedding reception. Worth the money and very nice helpful staff. Great breakfast too. Manager lady was very helpful too when I needed a plaster after a mishap resulting in a cut finger. Room lovely and comfortable but may be better if the rubber bathroom mat is put in the bath, as i couldn't find it when I needed to shower. Didn't see it hanging on the back door. But wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommended! Thank you!"

"The room was ideal. It was comfortable, had a bath and shower that were easy to operate. There was a generous supply of teas and coffee. The cosy lounges downstairs were lovely. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful with plenty of coffee/tea topups. All the staff were polite and attentive and easy to have a chat to. Overall, a memorable stay. We shall certainly return soon!"

"The Rampant horse Had an absolutely fantastic 2 nights stay, staff brilliant the room was excellent and served all our needs. The locals were a lively bunch, and they came in all ages,and made us feel welcome from as soon as we arrived. "The room was clesn and comfortable, housekeeping staff were very helpful especially helpful with my wife who was a bit off colour. The general quslity of catering was better than our last. Our last day breakfadt was goid however consistency needs to be maintained. Front of house staff work very hard, especially Nial, & Jenny. As a former auditor i would suggest a visit by a snag fixer and this place would be cracking. Small changes, massive differences."
