"A large country house surrounded by big trees. A little tired around the edges but still a sense of grandeur. Our room was huge with a comfortable bed and a bath. Good food and friendly staff."

"Staff were very friendly and were clearly working very hard to provide the best possible service. They even took our bikes in for us for safe storage even though we had a late check in. They seem to go that extra mile. The reason for the 3 stars was because our room had dust/cobwebs in areas where it hasn't been touched, also the hot tap in the bathroom was scalding hot! "

"The amenities were lovely. They kept real milk chilled in the fridge for your tea or coffee which was such a nice touch. The food was unbelievable as were the drinks. The ambiance was as about as Scottish as you could imagine which is what you want when you're traveling abroad. Can't say enough great things about this place. "
