"I recently stayed at the Scandic Sydhavnen and found it to be exactly as described. The location is about 20 minutes from the city center, but the local public transport links are excellent, and the hotel offers bike rentals which made exploring Copenhagen very easy. The room was clean and well-maintained. I was particularly impressed by the blackout curtains and the soundproofing; despite being near a road, the windows blocked the noise perfectly. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water, though I did notice the bathroom tiles are starting to show their age. Breakfast was a highlight—there was a great selection of food and the dining area is spacious enough that it never felt cramped. A very reliable choice for a Copenhagen stay!"

"The hotel is in an excellent central location. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and I was allowed to check in very early, which was greatly appreciated. The room was very clean, but extremely small. Mine was a single room with a “small double” bed. Because the room was so narrow, the bed was placed lengthways against the wall rather than in the usual position. At its narrowest point, there was only about 58 cm between the bed legs and the wall, which felt very tight. The bed legs were made of solid square posts with sharp edges, and I repeatedly scratched my leg while trying to pass through. It was quite painful (see photos). I have never stayed in a hotel of this rating with such a small room, and I was not impressed. There was no writing desk, refrigerator, safe, or even a telephone (perhaps it was accessible via the TV, but I’m not sure). There was also merchandise hanging on the wall for sale, which made the already small room feel even more cramped. Overall, I was disappointed."

"Penthouse room was nice, although positioned on the 6th floor below the building’s main air conditioning and extraction which was a little noisy. Breakfast was decent and fresh. The Josephine’s Bar was closed for refurbishment which was a shame. No room service on site. "

"Highly recommend this hotel. Comfortable beds, lots of quality toiletries in the shower room. Friendly, helpful staff. Happy hour with a free drink a bonus! Great location to food halls, tourist sites. Excellent value for money … we are coming back!"
