"I only stayed one night pre-cruise. The room was ok, clean. Iron board and iron was in the room so that was a plus. It suited my needs for the one night I was there. If there were any faults, it wouldn't have registered. I was way too tired to take notice. "

"We stayed at the hotel for three days to visit the attractions in the surrounding area. Our room that overlooked the harbour, was comfortable and clean. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast offered a variety of foods from cereal and continental choices to full English cooked breakfast. "This is our 5th stay pre cruise at the Doubletree Hilton, all very clean and service very good. Easy check in. Comfortable clean rooms, this time we stayed half board and evening meal was excellent value for money. Breakfast was good. Do think car parking should be free though for guests staying at the hotel overnight."

"The rooms are all modern with new bathrooms, convenient plug points and superfast WIFI. I stayed in Room 39 on the 1st floor without any issues to report. I'll be back over the next few weeks and have multiple trips booked here - rooms are to a consistently better level than the Hotel & Spa (same chain) situated next to the Lodge - the Lodge is also cheaper :)"

"Lovely hotel and room was lovely and clean and comfortable, yet the hotel itself could do with a good dust as the picture frames on the stairs etc looked quite dusty. 70% of the staff were very friendly and helpful however 30% were a bit robotic, however the service itself was very good. "
