"I stained the hotel from 27th-31st August 2024. The swimming pool was full of kids all the time, looks like the pool had been turned into a children swimming school. In front check in desk area, staff members were try to sale their “Moon Cake” to you on your arrival. The “check in boy” told me that he can upgrade my room, but need to pay extra 480 Chinese RMB, then I can get free moon cake, but I need to transfer the money into his private WeChat account, required to add my private WeChat...

Just a little surprised that the Guest service department messed up and sent me an “URGENT” email about me not checking in and failing to make payment after I had already checked in and paid in full with deposit the night before. On arrival I was very kindly given an upgrade to a suite, it was an older style but a huge space and very comfortable. The view over the street was great to watch. "The staff was excellent. They went above and beyond to make my family and I feel welcome. The rooms were nice, but some aspects felt past their prime. While the room was non-smoking, there was a lingering smell of smoke in some areas. The hotel is well away from the city center and required a long walk to get to any food options. However, it was very convenient for our trip out of Xipu Station."

"This is one of the most satisfying and interesting places I've stayed in a city. Close to Wenshu Temple and a fun market and pedestrian street lined with tea "gardens", the hotel itself has beautiful, peaceful architecture and the staff are wonderful and very helpful. And it was an amazing value for the money and where we stayed. Very walkable area and close to great local hotpot places and bubble tea."
