"Seems a bit out of the way but nearby boat stop and water taxi to airport make it work. Nice large rooms, good restaurants anf cool pool on roof, good lid nearby restaurants. It’s large and rooms are a bit circuitous to find but one of best values in Venice!!! "

"Lovely hotel with a fantastic location, my room 303 was extremely noisy from both sides, the street and the lobby side. Bar can be extremely loud at days with loud music and partying. Conceirge was average and extremely pushy by tailoring programs that are commission based including transportation to and from points and venues. "

"The Excess Venice Boutique Hotel is situated in a quiet backwater on the banks of a canal. It’s within a 25 minute wander to St Mark’s Square. The hotel has a lovely garden, where you can eat breakfast in the summer months. Our room was large, very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were lovely and welcoming. I would highly recommend the hotel for a relaxing break in Venice."

"I loved that it felt like its own little community. You had everything you needed right on site! Beware though, they do not supply toilet paper or towels. You'll have to bring it with you or buy it when you get there. That was a surprise when we first got there."

"We stay there whenever in Venice. The staff is friendly and accommodating to all requests. The terrace on Grand Canal is a wonderful place for hanging out and the hotel is an easy walk from St. Marks, museums and designer shops. Breakfast is included and abundant, and drinks and/or snacks outside on the terrace is a joy in good weather. The 7th-floor bar and restaurant provide a breathtaking panorama of the city. "
