The La Monastica resort was a wonderful place with a staff who were exceptionally welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The location and grounds were beautiful with some modern influences in decor but really maintaining the overall old world charm and aesthetic of the monastery. We really enjoyed time in the bar playing cards and drinking some great cocktails.

A charming B&B settled outside of Lucca (~20 minutes), but with easy access to visiting many different areas. We rented a car from the airport (~1hr & 20mins) and I highly recommend it so you can move around with ease and visit different areas even go to the coast. The tolls are fantastic and fast. Hotel Villa Casanova was one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany! Everything about this place was special.
