"We booked one of the suites with the hot tub. While it was a luxurious experience, the bathrooms needed a bit of renovation and care. You could still hear neighbours and staff cleaning rooms next door, which is annoying if you want to have a nap. Lovely surroundings. Main restaurant ok-ish. I wished they didn’t put so much sugar in all the dishes. Only the dover sole escaped the sugar and was delicious. "Staff were super and the bed and pillows were amazing. Our room had air con, which was turned off when we arrived. It was extremely hot. Full sun had been on the room all day and it was like an oven. We turned the air con on and didn't make much difference. We did not sleep at all well We checked out early at 7.30 am as we we had to look after our grandchildren . We were not able to have breakfast which we had paid for as they didn't start service until 8.30 am All doors were locked...

"Had to eat earlier than requested because kitchen closed early. Good, though a little expensive, fish and chips. Enjoyed the stay. Room assigned was certainly quirky in a good way. Didn't get chance to drink the complementary beer."

"Very quiet location. Half Moon Cabin is quite small but fine for a couple . The bathroom looks good but trying to have a shower stood in a sloping bath was not easy . Maybe a large shower would have been more practical "
