"Nice room and good to see it contained an ironing board and iron and a microwave and a fridge. I did not use any of them but it was good to know for future stays. Great looking lobby and good breakfast. Close to city centre amenities albeit at a slight remove."
"This beautiful hotel located in a charming victorian town was a wonderful place to stay. The staff that were present were lovely and very helpful, however, the dining room service was quite slow. It was clear that the restaurant is understaffed. All that aside, the food was delicious and our room was very comfortable and attractive. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to our friends."
"Hotel is right across the street from the train station. Also across the sreet next to train station, there is an indoor mall with lots of restaurants & stores. The hotel itself has a good restaurant. A short walk takes you to a main street with lots of stores, pubs and restaurantsas well as easy access to bus transportation.
The beds are comfortable & rooms are kept spotless. "

"Room could do with some minor touch ups as showing signs of wear but generally okay and for what I paid for 10 nights I would consider value for money. Very basic but I knew that when booking and as I was working away I just needed somewhere to sleep and shower and this was perfect for that. "Everything about this place was top-shelf! From the wonderful entrance to the hallways leading to the spacious well-equipped rooms, to the excellent food in the restaurant and the smooth drinks from the bar. However the “Great Room” which is the oldest location of Maryculter House (dating back to the 1200’s) was simply amazing!

"The standard of customer service is exceptional. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There is a very relaxing lounge area and the Caskieben bar offers an excellent food and drinks menu at reasonable prices. We were particularly impressed by the swimming pool which is perfect for those with young families. The breakfast offer was similarly very good and well organised. We will be back. "
"Our stay at Marcliffe was wonderful and felt truly luxurious. The staff went to every length to make sure we were comfortable. While there were small mix-ups with our breakfasts, the inconvenience was quickly overshadowed by the service of having the meal delivered to our room and the delicious cooked meals. It was so special staying here, and we would highly recommend it to our friends and family. "
