Learn to cook Moroccan style at L'Atelier Madada cookery school, attached to an Essaouira restaurant. You'll learn to make Moroccan mint tea and cook two courses – first person to book gets to choose the menu but it might be a tagine, couscous or pastilla – then get to eat it all.

Classes run from 10.30am–3pm and cost 500 MAD.

"Great little find. The staff was friendly and helpful, speaking to us in English, French and Spanish [multi-lingual group].
