"My experience at Villa San Ignacio has been spectacular. The room was clean and the air conditioning was a must as it keeps the room nice and cool through the night. The staff was great and very accommodating and the food was spectacular. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay near SJO or anyone in San Jose. 10/10 I would stay again! :)"

"The Hotel was just as it was pictured. The staff and our stay were fantastic. The staff treated us like royalty. The road in front of the hotel was under construction so that was not great, but the staff at the hotel made up for any inconvenience. We will definitely stay again. "

"The owner, Gaucho (I believe) was helpful and friendly. He offered me some of his homemade dinner and set me up with a taxi early in the morning to catch my flight the next day. The location is in a quiet safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from downtown Alajuela. The house is modern and has his modern Art throughout the home. The upstairs rooftop balcony is a treat and offers great views. Very hospitable experience which I enjoyed and would love coming back again."

Villa Pacandé
2.5 star property

"Our room was very spacious and on the first floor. We even had a balcony at the other end of the room. The pool was small and a disabled person in our party could not get in it because there were no handrails. The setting was up in the mountains north of Alajuela and the air was fresh at night. We will return to this hotel because it is not far from the airport."
