Getxo is a residential town close to Bilbao. Hardly anyone speaks English, but they are all very nice and there’s tons a small places serving pintxos and drinks. This ‘hanging bridge’ is the Bizkaia Bridge, a transportation device that bring cars and people across the river between Getxo and Portugalete.

"This was a remarkable hotel--friendly staff, terrific, serene location. I enjoyed the area very much. The spa was well maintained and perfectly sized. It was a welcome relief after traveling the previous week. Its location along the promenade was terrific--perfect for running, walking, just enjoying the vibe of Getxo. Be sure to get out to the local places to eat/drink. I would highly recommend this hotel--especially for its staff."

"Nice hotel and well situated even if the area was a little bitvrun down. Rooms were clean well maintained and the bed comfortable. The staff werecwarm and welcoming. One word of caution the walls are very thin and i could hear everything from the room mext door, plus the noisy lift"
