"We knew that we were booking a room in a budget hotel, which meant that hanging space for clothing was at a premium and there were no drawers, just a limited amount of shelf space for our personal possessions. We had to live out of our suitcases. All this was abundantly clear at the time of booking. However, the bed was comfortable, the shower worked well, as did the television and room service was offered every day, comprising a change of towels and bed linen if requested. An air conditioning unit was provided as standard. The room was initially clean, but, as we arrived in a downpour, we unavoidably carried some sand and grit into the room. Despite asking for the floor to be cleaned, the deposit was not removed for the entire stay of six nights, contributing to some discomfort when walking barefoot. However, this and a misunderstanding concerning a breakfast booking, which was easily resolved, are the only gripes which we have.
We very much appreciated the hotel's flexibility. It is staffed day and night which permits arrival in unsocial hours and breakfast can be booked minutes before it is being consumed. Breakfast was very good value for anyone who wants more than just one bread roll and a single beverage. Drinks and snacks are also available for purchase at the reception.
The staff was polite and helpful and administration of our account was generally efficient. The cancellation policy is also to be commended."
