"A fantastic B&B in a lovely rural location but a short drive away from all amenities. On the Pennine Way and nearby Hadrian's Wall walks. Lesley and Katie are welcoming and have really considered the needs of their guests. The B&B rooms are in a building with its own lounge, which is filled with maps, information leaflets, local information and even blister kits and deep heat for those who have finished a long day's walk. "From the minute we arrived, Lisa couldn't have done more for us. We felt completely catered for and had a wonderful stay. The school house has been renovated so beautifully and we loved hearing about and seeing the history of it. The bed was extremely comfy and we slept brilliantly, waking to a gorgeous home-coked breakfast. "We stayed here as it was close to the wedding venue we were attending and didn’t seem too expensive. Easy to find and park park at. Check in was easy and the room was spacious and I was grateful for the kettle and teabags/milk and use of hairdryer and ironing board. The downside was the bars downstairs. We were at the front of the building right above the hotel bar and both Friday and Saturday night I struggled to sleep til the partygoers left at midnight. I had the windows shut and the blinds...
