"This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy. "Skye is a special place and Braken Hide is great. The restaurant is amazing. Incredible breakfast and dinner. Most amazing is the service of the head waiter who is unfailing friendly and efficient. The tiny rooms are actually quite comfy. The shower was outstanding -- great water pressure. Its hard to sit up in bed because of the sloping ceiling, but otherwise very comfy and efficient. Amazing view from the front porch. "
