Our family of 9 found this property absolutely perfect. It is dated in a way that makes it feel like you are truly on a relaxing family vacation. Location to beach is great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great house for large families

Reminded me of childhood because of vintage nature of home and surroundings. Not fancy but that’s how I grew up. Staff at the office went way beyond to insure our comfort.

Perfect older home in a great location .

This is a older beach home with a very homey feeling. Great for a larger family or group. The location was perfect as you could hear the waves from the porch swing. Over all the amenities were good. The drawbacks were minor and would never effect our decision to return to the home again and again. Thank you to the family for allowing us to enjoy your home. As to future guests: be very cautious upstairs as their is one bathroom with a couple steps to get into it and you have to pay close attention to the steps coming down so you dont miss a step and propell falling across the hall and into the next room before landing on the floor with a bang. Yeah that happened to me. I did not go back upstairs the rest of the trip as i had to spend it on bedrest and ice. Despite the fall, i'd still choose the house and location.. just avoid that bathroom. LOL

Best Mother's Day Weekend!

We absolutely loved this house. I have seen reviews saying to update but we thought it was wonderful. It's like the house is stuck in a time that was slower and more relaxing and that's what we loved about it. So much room for our big family too. We had six adults, one toddler, two crawlers, and an infant and everyone was so comfortable. The house has clean floors and everything was very baby friendly for the two explorers. The walk to the beach was so short and easy even with babies. I cannot say enough great things about this place. We will definitely be back!

Very Dated

Location, size and amenities were perfect for our stay. What wasn't perfect was the house was very Dated, old and falling apart in need of repairs. Kitchen cabinets and drawers were all crooked and most wouldn't close properly. Needed porch repairs as several boards were either loose or unstable. Cracks in the downstairs kitchen floor area and hole in the wall near shower stall downstairs. Whole house could use a modern makeover as it is still resembling 1940's style.

Vintage Beach Cottage

We have stayed at Jewel of Isle for many years. 6 bedrooms this close to the beach at this price cannot not be found hardly anywhere on the NC coast! There are trade offs though; not a fancy house, small kitchen, worn furniture, house is way over due for a paint job, flies on porch, not enough porch furniture. Other +++ private, quiet, park up to 5 cars, outside shower, short walk to the beach, clean house. The owners are making improvements to the house every year.

Best 2022 Beach Vacation

The home was clean and roomy. I liked how the home was arranged. Everyone really enjoyed the second level porch and the swing on the front porch. It was my first time ever renting a vacation home and your company made it easy.

Great house!

Our family loves the layout of this house. It is perfect for our needs and is in a great location in a very quiet area with plenty of room for 14 people. This is an older house and needs some minor upkeep completed and l would have given it 5 stars, had these issues not been present. Would not hesitate to return to Jewel of the Isle!
