Nice stay for two

The studio-style apartment was cute and had nice amenities including a washer/dryer, nice toiletries, bath robes, comfy bed, etc.. The neighborhood also felt safe and there are restaurants, a bakery and a good cheese shop just down the street.

Sister’s Graduation Trip

Thank you for providing us with a nice and comfortable space to return to after our daily activities! We loved the space and neighborhood. I booked this home a couple of days before our planned trip and everything turned out to be amazing! Great location

Cozy and charming describe this place perfectly. Just enough space for one or two. Loved the decor. The bathroom was up to date , as was the kitchen. The bed was soft but surprisingly comfortable. Don’t plan on watching tv or relaxing on the sofa…neither of these are recommended. You can’t beat the location and it was very quiet!

Not Bad - Needs Some TLC

Once we found it - not easy because of trash can blocking gate - entry was straightforward. Parking and alley access were not an issue, but the alley itself was a little sketchy. Entrance needs some landscaping upkeep. Apartmnet was as shown in pictures. Nice kitchenette and appliances. Bathroom was very nice. AC worked well. Couch was a little large for the space and quite uncomfortable. The mattress on the bed is in serious need of replacement. The floor also needs some maintenance as it felt like the planks were about to come apart with every step. Overall just OK for us. Would expect a little more at this price point.

Location was where I expected, studio was clean, bed was comfortable. I was disappointed there was no coffee for the first morning to get me started. The couch/futon was extremely uncomfortable. The rose bush by the entry gate needs to be trimmed. The thorns on it scratched me trying to get in the gate.

The place was just ok. Location was fine, but didn’t realize the front door was located in the alleyway. No outside space available. No TV service but you can log into any of the services you currently subscribe to. The quality of the bed wasn’t the greatest. Overall the place was clean and located close to an area with a few restaurants and a small grocery store.

Beautiful little spot in the heart of it all!

A cute, quiet, clean room. Was exactly as it was represented. The only thing we had an issue with was getting into the app with two-part authentication. It would text a code to get in to the app but when you go to grab the code it starts over from the beginning and you need a new code each time. Once I messaged the customer service they sent me the code to get in the door immediately so I could bypass the app. The one hang up did not harm the stay in any way. We had no issue getting in and out after that. Overall, it was a great stay and I will stay here again if it is still available during my next trip to Austin!

Comfy Cozy great location

They’ve done an amazing job with this tiny house. It’s perfectly comfortable for two people and the location could not have been better for this trip. It would have been nice to have more storage for our “things”. Most every space already had something in it. Overall fantastic space- I highly recommend!!

Great location. Very comfortable.

We enjoyed walking to the nearby Quack's for coffee and pastries every morning. Then, for dinner, just a few steps to some of the best Mexican and Italian food I've ever had. The property has no parking, street parking wasn't a big deal. The place is small but nicely appointed. We had all the privacy of a single unit lot. I would definitely go back. It's a little tricky to fins the entrance upon arrival.

Very clean, but outside area needs sprucing up. The codes did not work to enter. Had to call and could only enter by key. Needed info on his to work the tv and ac/heat.

TV never worked, AC was terrible. They finally sent over a tech after 36 hrs. He could not do anything about the TV and suggested it needed to be replaced. The toilet bowl cleaner was dirty and rusty. As a handicapped person, walking up and down a steep paved alley was challenging. Not worth the $$$ allwywn

Lock/noise

I think the place was adorable. But we were unable to get in per the instructions. We had to wait almost most 2 hours for someone to come help. She was very nice but only gave us a credit of 25 dollars. Thought that was unacceptable. Sunday night from 10:00pm unti almost 2AM we had tree service in our alley cutting down trees which was very loud and bright.

Awful Experience/Never got inside/ Abysmal management response

-Listing totally misrepresented location and exterior of property - This property is on an alley with entrance gate between garbage cans !! -The photos of exterior are completely misleading. They must be years old. The "patio" has no real vegetation except weeds - everything else green in the photos is now faded plastic! The table/chairs are bleeched white, dry rotted, and we were afraid to sit down in them. -This says it all: the "Welcome" sign on the door is rusted!! -We spent 2 hours at the property - first trying to find it and then trying to get through the door! We were on the phone with local managment and nothing worked. -after the fact we saw in previous reviews that many had experienced difficulty entering and apparently nothing had been done to fix the problem -after waiting in the alley in the Texas sun for nearly two (2) hours we left and found a nice motel with breakfast, happy hour and maid service for less money. -we immediately contacted Vacasa management locally and nationally and asked for a refund - still waiting after almost 3 weeks for Vacasa to call or write us - we have texted and phoned Vacasa multiple times but have never received a phone call from anyone in Vacasa management -This property and misleading listing is a reflection on VRBO

Clean & Updated- Perfect for a Weekend in ATX

The Carriage house was exactly what my boyfriend and I needed for our weekend trip to Austin. The home (guest home) is extremely well maintained, updated and aesthetically pleasing. I was hesitant on the street parking but it is truly steps from the home, my car felt safe. We were able to lock & leave as we pleased. It is clear the owner's take great pride in their rental. If I'm staying in Austin again, this will be the place I book. IF I had to dig around in my brain for a complaint: I would suggest replacing the electronic lock on the front door all together. It is clear it does not work. The "hard/psychical" key worked just fine & was our only option/way to enter the home. Lack of coffee (k-cups) was a bummer. (I feel like a crybaby for even saying that). Everything was awesome. Book here.

Adorable place in historic Hyde Park

Perfect place to spend a couple of days. Had everything we needed. Very Adorable! Particularly nostalgic because we lived in Hyde Park during graduate school. Thrilled to see the neighborhood vibrant and unchanged. So many businesses we remember from 35 years ago are still there.

Location, location, location!

Adorable, comfortable little garage apartment with just about everything. Quiet little alley with shady trees and flowering plants that is a half block up the alley to Quacks, Hyde Park Bar and Grill, that cheese shop, Antonelli's, Julio's and more, I would have appreciated an easier way to have coffee or tea in the morning. No supplies and not easy coffee maker or teapot. All else was perfectly lovely.
