"We had planned a week on Lake Taneycomo for fishing and exploring Branson. Unfortunately for us it rained heavily for 4 out of 5 days. Fortunately Lakeside Escape was well equipped for these conditions. We really enjoyed the hot tub while watching the storms pass, and spent time in the kitchen shack preparing wonderful meals with the fully equipped kitchen. "I’ll start with the positives, it was a very good price. It had been cleaned and I do think the place was fairly clean. The location was good, not terribly far from Branson. However, it smelled like something died in there. I didn’t reach out to the property manager because I knew the trip was non refundable, and I think the smell was due to it being such an old building and plumbing so it probably couldn’t have been fixed quickly.
