Top Avoch Hotel Reviews

The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery

8/10 Good

"This is quite a quirky hotel with room across several different Victorian terraced houses (so you have to go outside to get the reception or to the restaurant and there are no lifts). But it's in a great location on the river Ness (great for a post-dinner walk) and we had a lovely double-aspect room with river views and a fabulous giant bathroom (itself with river view and a great shower). The stairwell up to our room was rather tatty, but the room itself was well furnished. Staff were very helpful (even carrying a heavy case up to our room) but dinner service in the restaurant was terribly slow. But breakfast was good - all self-service."

The Royal Highland Hotel

8/10 Good

"The reception area of this hotel is fantastic with the staircase the main feature . The rooms are large and spacious but they are tired and in need of some TLC. The rooms are clean with tea and coffee facilities. The downstairs of this hotel is its selling point with a lovely lounge bar. Breakfast was good but overpriced at £22 for a cooked breakfast much better options in the town. The location of this hotel is fantastic"
