"The 2 biggest problems with this resort are staff AND misrepresentation! Staff range from incompetent to indifferent, but misrepresentation is the biggest problem because that’s how most of us make our selection of a resort … we trust information. The ONLY people calling this a luxury resort, don’t know what luxury is. The facilities are nice, but luxury comes from guest service and the quality of food and beverage. Food was average for Punta Cana at best! If you choose this resort, choose it for size of room or the waterpark but don’t be fooled into thinking this is anything more than a solid middle tier. I have stayed at 10 different all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana … this ranks 9th!!"

"We just returned from a 7 day stay at Barcelo Bavero Beach. It is a beautiful resort that has nice pools and a beautiful beach that runs the length of the property. The beach and paths are well maintained and lovely for walking between the Palace and Adults only. Water sports are easily accessible and they did an excellent job at maintaining beach! The buffets had great selection and very fresh. A la carts ok, Mexican was great ! Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we felt entertainment was weak. The venue was beautiful but under utilized. Having the shows start earlier than 10 pm we think is better planning. We loved the resort and would definitely return."

"Honestly I would have liked more adult amenities I thought it was adult only but there was kids everywhere all over the oool party was in the smallest pool the resort had It was totally impossible to make dinner reservations at the restaurants the food at the buffet was cold and horrible there was NO AUTHENTIC DOMINICAN FOOD the Dominican breakfast had melt d white cheese n the mango had no flavor after the 3rd night is when my party of 12 realized the nachos burgers n fry chicken was the only thing we wanted over all its more of a retirement home vibe with grandparents that want to take there grandkids out "

"The pictures (of the pool etc) on the website probably don't do this place justice. The pools are fantastic and we had them pretty much all to ourselves each day. Defo need car/taxi/Uber for getting to local shops a walk is not very nice."

"Family friendly, staff very nice and friendly, 3 pools to choose from only one of them was 2 days not clean good/enough. Apartment was very good, nice amazing view, but the couches in the living room were dirty and we cover them with the white bed sheets. We had a lot of towels , even for beach but we supposed to ask to come and change them, if not not sure when was the schedule for that. Elevator not working for more than 5 days and supposed to carry all the luggages and groceries, we stood 10 days. On the beach not enough chairs/ Louges or umbrellas but go around 9 and place a towel so you can save your umbrella spot. In the area a lot of constructions and traffic. Restaurants and stores around super expensive. "

"Loved the coffee shop and so many pool areas/bars/restaurants. Particularly liked the unique beach and breakfast/bar area. Also extra touches for birthday with banner, balloons etc. We brought hang up dehumidifier disposable bags which worked great as high humidity and aircon."
