"Lovely property perfect when travelling with a car. Staff were very good. Property great location literally 5 minute walk across the road to the Old Town. On checkin asked about restaurants and we choose one of four Buratti in the Old Town which was fantastic excellent staff and traditional fare was delicious. Definitely recommend the Lucca in Villa Lucretia and the restaurante Buratti."

"Al Porto Di Lucca is a lovely old property that has been tasefully renovated and decorated to combine modern facilities (such as the bathrooms) with the original features and furniture in keeping with the age and style of the house. We stayed in the room Maria Teresa facing the lovely quiet garden with a balcony and wished our weather during our stay had allowed us to make more use of that feature. "Lovely property that we stayed for one night. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was superb and helped us cool down and relax after a long day travelling. Breakfast was really good the next morning and served with some locally produced goods. Great place to stay. Exactly as advertised. "

"It was difficult to get to, and into. Our phone would not work and if another guest had not arrived we would have had to sleep out side the gate."

"Laura, the hostess is wonderful. Lucca, the town, is great. The B&B is behind a restaurant. Whatever you do, don’t depend on the address to get you to the B&B. The address is nowhere near the actual B&B. You’ll need to use the name of the restaurant to find the actual location. Ask Laura at the restaurant, The B&B is about 30 yards from the restaurant and Laura is always there."

"Stunning property with beautiful views. Very quiet area! House was very clean and the garden was beautiful . We did not have a car , but Diego helped us communicate with the local taxi service. Taxi took us into the town of Barga when we needed and picked us up ! Diego was also very quick to respond and willing to help out with anything we needed . Great experience. Thank you !"

"The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and we never tired of the superlative views across the valley. Diego and his dad are lovely and always available when needed. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be a little more kitchen equipment - there was no sharp knife for cooking, no collander, few wine glasses and an oven tray that didn’t fit the oven. A small point that did not detract from a great week in a stand out property. Highly recommended!"
