"Stayed for one night , the room was nice with a large bathroom. Breakfast was very good (full English) and staff very good. This should be described as a Bed & Breakfast not a Hotel."

We had a big party staying here for a family wedding nearby. I donāt usually do these reviews but the Elveden was just outstanding. The place is lovely with nice rooms and a great lounge, bar and restaurant, but it was the staff who made this special. Friendly, competent and endlessly helpful dealing with our group, including arranging two large dinners at short notice. Strongly recommended!

Location was easy to find with ability to have dinner after arrival. Easy to get into Bury St. Edmunds and back to RAF Lakenheath if need be. Close to several gas stations and highway. Room was very clean, roomy, and very quiet. Only stayed 1 night, but definitely would stay again and could easily do several nights. Next time, will try pub downstairs.

A charming and lovely hotel! We will be returning just to stay here. The staff were amazing and the grounds are beautiful. The restaurant was excellent and the prices were very reasonable.

Very quaint village hotel, dating from the 1600s. Updated nicely, but stairs are very steep. I loved my top floor room with dormer windows. Updated En-suite bath! Lovely original beam ceiling.

The lodging here was so beautiful, small style cabins that are modern with a great view and a small garden out back. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The restaurant next to the lodging was amazing, staff were so nice and helpful and the food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back.

The room was just the right size, but the only thing I would suggest is putting a small tray or rack in the shower for room #3. There's no where to put shampoos/conditioners, etc. when using the shower.
