Brandywine River Hotel

6/10 Okay

"Upon arrival, we asked the front desk for water and we were told to walk across the freeway to the gas station to get some. We later learned that there was some in the breakfast room ice cold with a cooler. In our room, the TV cabinet was broken. The corners in the bathroom were not cleaned, but the bedding was clean. Also, the bed mattresses were on top of raw box springs without any cover and looked really shabby. This was not worth $188 per night in any way."

"The room was clean, the staff was very responsive and courteous, and as I had gone up to specifically attend a graduation at the Bob Carpenter center, location was excellent... but for the amount we paid 264.00 about, plus they charged a $100 fee (refundable) but inconvenient, the room was a huge disappointment and definitely not worth $264.00, it was small, almost claustrophobic, it contained 2 beds, a tiny bathroom with only a shower, a tiny microwave & fridge. There was a tv, a small desk and chair all along one wall. At the very least the room could have been a bit bigger and contained a regular chair or couch. Will not stay there again for that amount of money"

"First two stays was not the best but okay. My third visit; Non functiinal and noisy Ac in room had to switch rooms around 1am. Sheet very itchy and uncomfortable. The new room shower took forever to warm up. Had to use cold water so I don't run late for work. Will try exploring other places around."

"This was my second stay at this fantastic hotel in the last 30 days. They did not disappoint. The staff are absolutely fantastic. Sylvia was very caring and professional and took great care of us again on this trip. Malcolm checked us in very easy, quickly. The serving staff, Irma, Sandra, Jouana and Anastasia, and the 2 chefs were just as caring as before and great. Overall, this hotel is a great value, great amenities, clean, good size rooms, delicious breakfast, but again, most important of all, the team members are fantastic. I thank Sylvia and all other team members for their dedication and great customer care. I, fully intend to be back in a few days again."

"We enjoy our stay when we come back home. Nonetheless, the hotel is always clean and customer service is always good. However, the hotel is dated and needs to add elevators for elderly. Otherwise, we would stay because it's close to everything we need when we come in the area. Thanks"
