"We found the staff welcoming and friendly. The rooms were comfortable with everything one would need for a short stay. The breakfast buffet bar simply groaned with a huge range of cold food and drinks and there was a good menu for cooked alternatives. We were only able to fit in one evening meal and we went for the specials choosing fish for both starter (trout paté) and for mains – as we were near the sea, we decided on ‘catch of the day’ which turned out to be sea bass. "Lovely staff, lovely room but total utter disaster of a stay!!! I’ve travelled ALOT! This has to be the worst room EVER!!!! What seemed like right on top of a karaoke bar! I had earplugs but you could still feel the base thumping through the floor until midnight! I may aswell have gone down stairs & tried to sleep on the dance floor!!!"

"We came from Australia to be central to family for 6 nights. This amazing inn felt like home and the staff were so lovely and welcoming along with the food being amazing. Our room was very cosy and felt relaxing after long days out. I would stay here again as I have never felt so relaxed after a long flight from the Uk! Julie the landlady is so kind and caring looking after her guests! 100/10! Highly recommend!"

"This was a great find, the rooms are really quirky but brilliant, comfy clean rooms. The pub downstairs was a traditional Cockney pub and the food was fantastic and the staff so friendly, Will definitely stay again"

"Hotel was good decent dize its not in the same building as the bar, it was across the road so wasnt so bad but there was a stained towl and a weed grinder left in the room from previous guests... otger than that no issues "

"The location of the hotel is stunning, with great views from the top of Leith. Very, very quiet surroundings. The room was comfortable but with repairs needed to furniture and equipment. Food was good quality but be prepared for a wait. An interesting stay!"

"Staff were very polite and helpful both in the hotel and restaurant. Our room was ok, stains on the headboard and carpet. Lampshades cracked and peeling, the bed was very soft. Bathroom was adequate and plenty of hot water. Some TLC to these rooms and this place would be amazing. Saying that we would stay again"
