Cute village near Middelburg
My travel plans changed suddenly and had to find a place to stay just for one night. Hotels around Amsterdam and Rotterdam 90% booked and only very expensive rooms left, so started looking for alternatives. Came across this cute little village Bergen op Zoom. I could not have wished for a better place to stay one night. Large single room (room no 9), very quiet, friendly staff and nutritious breakfast. Literally across the train station. Under an hour by train from Middelburg and Dordrecht, which are other cute villages to explore.

Great little find in the centre of town
Stayed just one night whilst working locally. Hotel is small, but packed with nice art and interesting ornaments. All the staff we met were incredibly friendly and helpful (all spoke fluent English!). Location was good, right near the station, though we drove. Parking is on the street and you have to pay at the meters. But not expensive. Coffee and tea available 24 hours, and a very well stocked honesty bar!! Breakfast was included in our booking and was excellent. Really good fresh bread, cheese and meats. Small selection of cooked food and really nice quality. The hotel is a five minute walk from the main square where there are some nice bars and restaurants. The hotel is quite compact, and rooms on the small side (single beds on our rooms). Small, but perfectly comfy.

Nice stay in Bergen op Zoom
Nice hotel in a very good location close to rail station with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. Excellent wifi, very good breakfast, free coffee in the lobby. Parking is on the street and is payable between 9.00 and 18.30. No complaints at all, I will definitely book this hotel if in the area again.

Comfortable hotel
We used this hotel for one night on a cycling tour of Belgium and Holland. It's well placed between Antwerp/Brussels and Flushing. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast in pleasant breakfast room. Safe storage for bikes.

Nice small hotel
Good place to stay when exploring Bergen op Zoom and environs. Next to railway station and a few minutes walk from city centre. Free Wifi and nice breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. A warning for those with mobility issues: there is no lift and the stairs are a bit difficult to negotiate.
