"A lovely hotel in an ideal spot to take in the wonder of Matera. Lovely room, helpful staff, good breakfast, spotlessly clean. The building itself is very atmospheric with a number of common areas that reflect it was once a palazzo!"

"Great property in an outstanding location near an entrance to the Matera Sassi. Clean rooms and comfortable beds were nice to stay in. In addition to the Sassi access and hotel cleanliness, the breakfast was truly outstanding. It featured a variety of coffees, pastries and fruits along with other breakfast items in an attractive, large dining room. The desk is attended at all times and the building is secured at night. My only mild criticism is better information on parking prior to check in would be a plus. A secured garage is under the hotel and available for $20 Euro per might. I'd stay there again, both for the hotel and the ancient attractions of Matera."
