Excellent
Make time to see Ffos Anoddun instead of Fairy Glen. It's in the same river gorge area - a bit off the beaten path - and incredibly beautiful. Ffos Anoddun is also free to access (unlike Fairy Glen)

Betws is my favourite place on earth, it provides an instant sense of calm whenever I arrive. The ambience is always so chilled and there's so many amazing walks on your doorstep.

Good Indian, and a decent chippy. Beautiful waterfalls. Went on a lovely (if steep) hike up and round a lake. Stunning vistas, highly recommend to walkers.

The walk by the river is lovely. We did a more adventurous one up the back to the lake & old Roman road route.

Shame there wasnt more places of choice to eat. The Indian restaurant was disappointing , very little choice on the menu and expensive for the quality of the food.
"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout my stay. Every member of the team I encountered was approachable and attentive, making it clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here.
The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable — a perfect space to unwind after a long day. The bed was cozy, the bathroom spotless, and all the facilities were in good working order. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and tidy, which made for a restful night’s sleep.
I also had a chance to try the food in the bar, and it exceeded expectations. The menu was varied, and everything I ordered was tasty and well-presented. It’s always a bonus when hotel dining is genuinely enjoyable rather than just convenient, and in this case, it really was.
Breakfast the next morning was another highlight, with a wide selection of options available, including well-prepared vegetarian choices. It was fresh, plentiful, and served in a pleasant dining area — a great way to start the day.
Overall, this hotel ticked all the boxes for a comfortable and pleasant stay. With its friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms, and great food options, I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travellers.

"Excellent hotel. Ttey have thought of everything. Lovely terraced bar. Room very nice with coffee machine.
Even had a bag of 2ps that we spent in the arcades.
Parking is a nightmare but thats nothing to do with the hitel that is Llandudno in the summer. Deffo be back and hopefully very soon. "
"Everything about the hotel was excellent; particularly the friendly and efficient staff.
BUT wouldn't go again, sadly, because of the lack of parking which, accepted is not the Hotel's fault. Only solution we could think of is some form of valet parking."
"Our stay at Tyn y Coed was wonderfully pleasant!
The hotel is set in a beautiful, scenic valley.
The food was a highlight – both the veggie and meat options were amazing, especially the flavorful curry. "
"The room was clean and spacious and facilities on point plenty of place to charge things up, staff where amazing and reception ladies made us feel very welcome. Shame about the yuppie types stood outside our window at six this morning chatting and giggling "
