"Property is nice and clean and 20 min walk into York centre . Breakfast was very good and the hosts and staff are friendly and welcoming. Plenty of parking on site . Rooms are a little dated , but clean. Recommended for a stay in York at a reasonable price."

"Perfectly situated in the town centre, this hotel is right next door to the abbey and it's always a delight to stay here. Clean, friendly and comfortable, the rooms are ideal and reflect all the same qualities you will find downstairs. Several areas to sit and enjoy good prices and lots of choices from the bar, there is also an adjoining area for watching sports on large screens and at least one pool table. "We originally had a deluxe double however on check in realised it didn't have a shower, was a bit misleading on the hotel pages as it says 'bath or shower' so could have been a bit clearer. However we spoke to the staff and they swapped our room so it turned out fine :) The hotel is in a lovely location, very short walk to the centre so nice and peaceful"

"Both were very accommodating. Breakfast was nice quality of produce. Not over facing just enough.Parking was managed with safe set up of your keys been at property to prevent you been blocked in. Not bad parking on the property. Bed comfortable and room clean.Wiite location but not too dar to walk into York center."

"We really enjoyed our stay, so peaceful and calming, the trees blowing in the wind around us was a calming lovely sound. Our only issue was the kettle leaking every time you poured a drink and the fitted sheet was not big enough for the bed as soon as got on the bed it came off the mattress when trying to put back on you could get one side down but it pulled it away from other end so bigger fitted sheet and definitely deeper fit other than this it was amazing and just what we needed "

First-class hotel all the way.

"We were in a suite in the older part of the hotel. Room was beautifully decorated yet with comfort and practicality in mind. Staff members very helpful; room was clean and well appointed (without the "old building" smell that permeates some older hotels). Breakfast must be ordered in advance but well worth the cost (best we had throughout a UK vacation). Location was excellent."

"Amazing apartment hotel. Modern, clean and got everything you need for a good stay in York. Parking was convenient- spars but we did manage to get parked - we paid £30 for Friday evening - Sunday evening. The hotel has a free coffee machine in reception as well as a snack facility. Roomz overlooks the river Ouse so to get into York it's a simple from via the river and across the bridge- took us 10mins to get into York centre/shambles etc. rooms were clean, tidy and had kitchens what was handy as I have many food allergies so cooking facilities and a fridge was essential when booking to stay in York. Hotel staff manning reception were all helpful, friendly and informative of the area. Theres lifts on site should you be placed on the top floor. Would definitely stay here again when visiting York. Will keep a look out for other roomz hotels in the future. "

Good hotel. Breakfast overpriced.

"I was there for half a week to explore York after a business trip to the UK. The hotel was good and the staff excellent. Breakfast was pricey and really not worth it. Go to the coffee shop across the street instead or into the old city for a good breakfast at a reasonable price."
