Dalegarth B&B had the important things that we look for, Top of the list, cleanliness, and i think they do the best breakfast we've ever had. Lot's of choice, cereals, fresh fruits, yogurts, and a massive list of cooked items. No limits on food either. Very generous.

"We stayed at The Hideaway for 3 nights in August. Unfortunately the weather was very changeable so we couldn’t enjoy the outside surroundings very much as took advantage of the dry parts to explore. "The house is in a beautiful location and we were greeted by Alfie. We were made welcome from the very beginning and looked after well. Our twin room was perfect with amazing views. We were recommended a walk to the lake and took a picnic, beautiful scenery and incredibly relaxing. A must do! We were provided with a delicious cooked breakfast and fresh bread. We will absolutely be visiting again and we wished we’d stayed longer than 1 night. "

Breakfast was excellent, and if you are heading out for walks, they can provide a packed lunch if you order the day before.
There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed."
"Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help."
