"This was perfect. It'd be fun to go with a group and rent all the cottages. It's a short walk to a small beach and also a short walk to a great restaurant, El Pescador Fish Market (Ate there 3 times on a four day stay) and a great surf shop, Mitch's surf shop. It would be perfect if it was on the beach. Also, don't miss The Taco Stand. "

"The listing was accurate enough though I'm glad it was just my dad and brother, who were able to shrug off things that many people might find off-putting in terms of cleanliness and amenities. It's definitely more value for the location than the place itself, but it did the job. - no A/C meant the first several hours were quite hot, trying to air things out. - Broken shower faucet - several things in disrepair Proximity to the beach and OB area definitely the major plusses! "

"We had a very enjoyable stay at this cottage. Nothing fancy, but it was clean, great location, and I wish I was still sitting on the front patio listening to the ocean! Layout is a bit unusual, I think it would be a bit awkward for more than a few people, due to having the single bathroom between the two bedrooms. Only suggestion I would make is to label the keys, as each gate had a different key and I spent a few minutes every time trying to locl/unlock things."

"My husband and I wanted to visit OB dog Beach and this place was perfect for the 2 of us. It would be tight if you had additional guests. We loved the little fenced in yard and propane gas fire table outside. The casita is shaded by large trees and stays cool with the fans and ocean breeze. The property management company left us a special note and the place was very clean. We hope to return!"

"We booked this rental for our last week in California. I thought the place was nice on the website but did not notice there was no air conditioning. Also it is quite noisy with the kids skateboarding right outside the front door which made it difficult to hear the TV. There are no screens on the windows so you couldn't open windows for air flow. "The only real negative was the fact that the mattress is TERRIBLE. It needs to be replaced. Other than that, we loved it. Other people complained about the parking but honestly, there's free overnight parking on El Carmel Pl and Santa Clara Pl which are only 2 short blocks in either direction along the bay.
