A really lovely apartment -perfect for our first holiday abroad … yes, there are stairs but a few minutes on leaving the apartment you are standing in the beautiful old port.. springboard to local bars and restaurants, boat trips and hill climbs to amazingly sited churches.. spending a delightful evening watching the sunset at the entrance to the harbour.. it was so easy with a lovely ‘home’ to return to.. "It was about the only reasonably priced central property available for a Rugby World Cup weekend after our original long standing booking was cancelled. We were hardly there and it was convenient for transport to the port and not bad for the stadium. Beds comfortable enough and shower decent. However it is poorly equipped if you need to use it for longer or more intensively, eg only two large towels for four people (lots of hand towels) and no dinner plates. "Hosts Victor & Helene were great. We had a 5 day visit for a Bruce Springsteen concert (unfortunately cancelled due to Bruce being ill). This accommodation was perfect for us, very close to everything including metro, buses, shops and numerous restaurants. Outdoor terrace space was definitely a bonus and was used for breakfast and some sitting in the sun during the early afternoon(maybe a few glasses of alcoholic refreshments too).
