"The bedroom had a tall narrow drawer unit with a TV perched on top. It was unstable and was not fixed to the wall. I opened the top drawer and the unit and TV toppled onto me. I had just a couple of minor injuries but I dread to think what would have happened if it was a child The reception staff were very helpful and offered to get medical assistance but I didn't need it. They offered a late check out at a time of my choosing which I was grateful for. All went wrong on check out. I went out of hotel for some coffee I reminded the receptionist that I had a late checkout and asked if my key would still work. She said that it would. I arrived back and asked again if it would work. It didn't and neither did my partner's and had to return get the key reset Half an hour later I got a call from her saying we had to leave the room to let cleaning staff in. I told her to check the late checkout imon the booking system and phone me back to apologise for the mix up -no return phone call When we left I complained and she claimed that I had checked out earlier that morning and had given her my key - a totally made up description of events. All that was required was an acceptance that a mistake had been made and an apology for the inconvenience. "

"Nice hotel, clean and friendly/helpful staff. Website times for pool are misleading. Website clearly states that the pool is open till 9pm but we were told to be out by 8.30pm and only the gym was open till 9pm. Only half an hour but when travelling with kids its a pain"

"Great staff Very warm welcome and attentive throughout the stay. Breakfast had a huge variety, always hot and never run out of anything. Very comfortable bed. Could do with a choice of pillows in there room. The sister pillows were also very soft. Yes some of the interior parts of the rooms could do with some TLC, but doesn't take away from a fantastic hotel, spa, golf course and restaurant. They had a large 21st party one night, but that didn't affect us, and could not be heard on the rooms. Little touches were brilliant, we stayed with a dog and they had door signs for the staff whether they could come in or not whilst the dog was in there. Also welcome flavoured water and Scottish Tablet Cannot wait to come back!"
