"The property is old. But that’s the charm of the building. Rooms are small but very comfortable. The Staff was very nice except for one. But I got over it. A hotel should not be judged for one bad apple. I would stay at this hotel again because of the location, the charm of the building and very nice staff."

"St. Charles streetcar stopped in front of hotel. Shower curtain was too short and water got all over the bathroom floor. Front desk help ranged from excellent to rude."

"Location to nearby sites, aesthetics, and cleanliness were wonderful. The added daily “resort fee” wasn’t great, though I did appreciate the hotel offering perks in return ($15 food/beverage credit, free walking tour options). I also did not like having the hotel attached to the mall as it requires you to take two sets of elevators to get to the rooms (hotel lobby is on the 11th floor). Overall good experience, but likely won’t return as there are lots of similarly great hotels nearby that are a bit more affordable."

"Breakfast was definitely a plus. There was a variety of items and limitless juice. The staff was very helpful and sweet. Overall, I gave the hotel an average rating because of the staff and the breakfast, but I had a bee infestation in my room. When I first called and asked for my room to be moved I was told they were booked and I had to stay, but they would send someone to clean them up. Someone came and killed them, but there were many more that materialized after they left. I called the front desk again and said I could not sleep there and then was told to hold and then was given another room. My new room was on the bottom floor on the street side. The curtains did not fit the window and I had trouble keeping them shut for privacy. My original room --with the bees--also was very dark because the windows were covered by "some type of greenery--not sure if it was real or fake" but the windows themselves looked out into an enclosed building with very little light and what seemed like no natural light."
